In the town of Gulu, Uganda, a 7-year-old girl named Lagum Claudia had a tale of resilience and unexpected love. Abandoned at just two months old, Claudia's cries during a stormy night led her to the arms of her neighbor, Acomo Christine.

Finding the baby at a doorstep with no one around, Christine took her to the police. Moved by her compassion, the police awarded her Claudia's guardianship. From that moment, Christine became everything to Claudia: guardian, protector, and mother.

While Christine's love for Claudia was immeasurable, funding Claudia's education strained her finances. But Claudia, understanding Christine's sacrifices, was determined to excel in school and give back to her guardian.
