Emmy is a bright and energetic five-year-old boy from Gulu district in northern Uganda. His days are filled with playing football, singing, and dancing—activities that bring him immense joy. But underneath this playful exterior, Emmy carries the weight of big dreams. He hopes to become a lawyer one day, aspiring to use his education to make life easier for his mother and to stand up for those who need a voice.

Emmy lives with his mother and two siblings. Life has been challenging for them. His mother, a single parent, works tirelessly in other people's gardens to provide for the family. Despite their efforts, it's often difficult to meet basic needs, and Emmy’s schooling has suffered as a result. Recently, he had to drop out of school due to a lack of school fees, uniforms, and other necessities like shoes, books, and pencils. This has deeply affected Emmy, making him feel isolated from his peers and uncertain about his future.

Yet, Emmy’s spirit remains unbroken. He still dreams of returning to school and pursuing his ambitions. With the right support, Emmy can overcome these challenges and thrive.
