My Story

Meet Esther: A Bright Dreamer with a Heart for Helping Others

Eight-year-old Esther from Cubu Village in northern Uganda is a kind and curious girl with a dream that shines brightly despite the challenges she faces. She lives with her mother, Suzan, and her two sisters in a small home where life is difficult, but love is abundant.

Esther’s father passed away when she was very young, leaving her mother to care for the family on her own. Suzan works tirelessly, selling charcoal and farming to provide for her children, but the income she earns is barely enough to cover basic needs like food and clothing. Recently, the struggle became too great, and Esther had to drop out of school because her family could no longer afford the fees.

But even with these obstacles, Esther’s spirit remains strong. She dreams of becoming a nurse one day—a role that allows her to help others, just as she wishes someone would help her family now. Her caring nature shines through in everything she does, from playing with her dolls to writing and drawing pictures of her future self in a nurse’s uniform. Esther loves to sing, filling her home with songs of hope and joy, even in the face of hardship.

School has always been a place where Esther thrived. She enjoyed her lessons, and her teachers noted her potential, calling her a bright student. But without the support to return, her dreams of learning and becoming a nurse are slipping away. Your sponsorship could give Esther the chance to go back to school, where she can continue to grow, learn, and work toward her goals.

Esther loves chicken, rice, and spaghetti—simple treats that bring smiles on rare occasions. She enjoys writing stories and drawing, activities that help her express her hopes and ideas, even when times are tough.

By sponsoring Esther, you will not only help her with the practical things like school fees, books, and uniforms, but you will also give her the priceless gift of hope. You can help her believe in her future again—one where she becomes the nurse she dreams of being, helping others just as she wishes to do.

Your support will provide Esther with more than just an education. It will give her a sense of security, knowing someone cares about her success, and the opportunity to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually. With your help, Esther can transform her life and fulfill the potential she carries within her.

Will you be the one to help Esther take the next step toward her dreams?
