Meet Rachael, a Budding Teacher with a Big Heart
Six-year-old Rachael Amarorwot lives in Ogul village in northern Uganda with her mother and five siblings. She is a bright and gentle child whose eyes light up when she’s drawing, writing stories, or playing with her dolls. Rachael dreams of becoming a teacher one day—a dream that speaks to her natural curiosity and her love for helping others.
Rachael’s father passed away, and her mother, Evaline, works hard to provide for the family through small-scale farming and selling goods. Despite her efforts, Evaline’s income is not enough to cover even the most basic needs for her six children. With limited resources, Rachael's school attendance has been inconsistent, and she often misses classes simply because her family cannot afford school fees or supplies.
Even with these challenges, Rachael remains hopeful. Her school performance has been good when she’s able to attend, and she holds tightly to her dream of standing in front of a classroom, helping children like herself grow and succeed.
Right now, Rachael is the only one of Evaline’s children still in school. She’s holding on, but she needs help.
By choosing to sponsor Rachael, you can give her the opportunity to continue her education, stay healthy, and pursue the future she dreams of. Your support would not only ease the financial burden on her family—it would send Rachael a powerful message: that she matters, that her dreams are valid, and that she’s not alone.
Let’s help Rachael build the future she’s already imagining—one filled with books, classrooms, and the joy of learning.
