Help Angeline Keep Her Dream Alive
Angeline Akello is a joyful 10-year-old girl from Ogul village in northern Uganda. Her favorite days are the ones when she can go to school—days when she sings on her way to class, plays netball with her friends, and dreams of one day becoming a teacher. Angeline loves learning, and she’s already known for her bright smile and curious questions in class.
But lately, those school days have become rare.
Angeline lives with her mother and two siblings. Her mother, Florence, is a widow and a hardworking peasant farmer. Despite her determination, Florence earns less than 60,000 Ugandan shillings a month—barely enough to put food on the table. With school fees, books, and other essentials out of reach, Angeline’s attendance has become irregular, and her two siblings have already dropped out.
Still, Angeline hasn’t let go of her dream. She wants to be the kind of teacher who makes children feel seen, heard, and inspired. She just needs a helping hand to stay on the path.
By sponsoring Angeline, you can offer her the stability and support she needs to stay in school and focus on learning. Your support can help lift the burden from her mother’s shoulders and open a door to a brighter future.
With your help, Angeline’s love for learning doesn’t have to fade. Together, we can help her dream stay alive.
